Young Harris College Website Launches new site designed by Third Wave Digital

Macon, GA - The innovative team at Third Wave Digital is excited to announce the launch of the newly redesigned Young Harris College website, yhc.edu. Third Wave Digital has previously worked with Young Harris College on other innovative marketing components including an interactive Campus Map and Interactive Campus Tours. The launch of yhc.edu is the first higher education web site launched by Third Wave Digital in 2015.
The new Young Harris College web site was designed as a fully responsive site, and conforms automatically to the device visitors are using. Among the many cutting-edge technological features implemented on this site, the most impactful for admissions are the student video tours and the interactive map. For the student tours, TWD developed an immersive user experience that allows prospective student to experience campus life through the eyes of current students. Aerial drone video footage shot by Third Wave Digital was also used to augment the student videos. The new interactive map also brings a heightened level of engagement with prospective students. “We used high resolution aerial photography from the school in developing their campus map,” says Myron Bennett, Third Wave Digital Creative Services Director. “The fully responsive, mobile friendly map allows prospective students to search and explore the campus right from their phones and tablets.”
Third Wave Digital worked closely with a Young Harris College’s third party CMS provider to ensure the smooth transition to the Drupal framework, a backend CMS that enables Young Harris College staff to easily manage site content and basic updates. Third Wave Digital looks forward to continuing to work with Young Harris College as new tools are developed in support of Higher Education marketing excellence.
