Posted on Nov 30, 2008
Third Wave Digital, a web design and web development firm, announced the launch of a completely redesigned web presence for the African American Tubman Museum. The new museum website can be found at www.tubmanmuseum.com.
The recently launched website features a new overall design theme with accompanying custom graphics and a greatly improved navigation system making the vast amount of data available on the website more accessible and user-friendly. For the new Tubman Museum website, Third Wave Advertising provided a complete e-commerce solution allowing users to make donations and sign up for memberships all online. The Tubman Museum also has the ability to expand the shopping cart to online purchases from their gift shop. The newly launched website is part of the Capital Campaign initiative to assist in donations to raise money for a new facility on Cherry Street in Macon, Georgia.
In addition to the e-commerce solution, the Third Wave Advertising also implemented a complete content management system through a partnership with DynApp Corporation. The CMS allows the Tubman Museum to make daily changes, updates and revisions to the site in a "plain English" format.
Tubman Museum’s Director of Sales & Marketing, Chris Spicer stated “My experience with Third Wave Digital was a positive one. The team is very talented, knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. The results of our project exceeded my expectations and continue to impress my audience. I highly recommend Third Wave!"
Carla Schwab, Operations Director for Third Wave, said "Creating a web presence for this valuable part of our community was a challenge we took seriously. The redesigned website gives visitors a better feel of all the Tubman has to offer including exhibits, special events, and classes & camps”.
In addition to design and implementation of the new website Third Wave Advertising also provides complete hosting and support services to the Tubman Museum through their web support division, Third Wave Host.
