2024 Marketing Trends

We did the research, so you don’t have to! As a marketing agency, we find it important to stay up to date with industry trends. As everyone is getting back to work, we want to share with you some marketing trends to keep an eye out for in 2024.  

Use AI to assist you, not replace you. AI platforms can be extremely helpful for coming up with ideas and automating tasks. We see there still being a use for AI but not much more than there already is. It isn’t quite ready to replace any jobs at this time.  



Establish a wild card fund to test into new platforms. We see a lot of companies and institutions wanting to try advertising on new platforms like Twitch or Spotify and they don’t have any money allocated to do so. We recommend setting aside 10-20% of your budget for trying new things. 

Only be on the social media platforms that make sense for your brand. This has been a trend the last couple of years, but some institutions are still spreading themselves thin across multiple platforms. If your target audience isn’t on a platform, you don’t need to be on it. If you can’t be consistent because you are on too many platforms, then rethink which ones you need to be on.  

Utilize short form content to catch people’s attention. The average person has a shorter attention span than a goldfish. The best way to work with these short attention spans is to make your video content short and to the point. 

Use Google Performance Max to optimize your Google campaigns. A Performance Max campaign works by plugging in your video, images, text, and link for your ads and it mixes it all up and places on different Google platforms based on how it best sees fit. You don’t have to think about placing everywhere when it will do it all for you. 

Prioritize your user generated content. People are tired of being sold to on social media, they would rather hear about how someone had a great experience with your company or institution. That is why influencers are so popular, but they come with a high price tag. User generated content can be much cheaper and simpler. Use a student to talk about your school, use testimonials from previous clients.
