Third Wave Digital Launched New Website Redesign for Sunoco

Third Wave Digital is proud to announce the launch of a redesigned and state of the art website for Sunoco, the premier performance fuel brand in the United States. During planning and development, we focused on three main points: creating a user-friendly navigation, overhauling the home page to create a more informative and meaningful user experience, and implementing a design that makes an instant impact. The Third Wave Digital team was asked to tackle this massive website overhaul with a tight turnaround.

With the website update, Third Wave Digital went with a customer-first approach across all features, including an easy-to-find station locator, quick access to savings & rewards programs and Sunoco’s trusted fuel services. Using data from Google analytics, we optimized the site navigation to prioritize exactly what the customer is looking for. With the goal of keeping the user engaged and driving them to explore the site further, we created an informative and attractive homepage to anchor the site.

Building on wireframe layouts from our project partners at Solve, Third Wave Digital created dynamic and eye-catching designs that spoke to Sunoco’s brand position as a leader in performance fuels.  This included the use of full motion video, layered design elements to create visual depth, and the strategic use of color to highlight and separate key information. It was essential that we made the website easy on the eye as well as the user. 

Since the majority of Sunoco’s users connect to the site from their cell phones, it was important to guarantee a high-quality experience that could be replicated across all mobile devices. Images, videos, and content have been optimized to ensure pages load quickly and maintain visual integrity, with responsive layouts that adapt seamlessly to the mobile experience.
