TWD Re-Launches Two Higher Education Websites!

Third Wave Digital is excited to commemorate the re-launch of two of our higher education websites. SGSC.edu and SUSCC.edu were originally developed by Third Wave Digital in 2013 and 2014 respectively. The world of web design moved quickly in a few short years and in 2017, both South Georgia State College and Southern Union State Community College recognized the need for their sites to be more mobile friendly and imagery driven. The newly launched website both feature a new responsive design and upgraded content management system.
The new content management system used by both sites, TWD.CMS6, is a radical departure from previous versions in its presentation and simplicity. Built on a mix of Bootstrap, JQuery, and AJAX technologies running on an Adobe ColdFusion platform, the new CMS represents a significant evolution of TWD.CMS 5. It delivers a comprehensive and much improved set of features and capabilities while radically improving the user experience at every level. In addition, TWD.CMS6 offers greater stability, improved security, faster response times and dramatically reduced overhead on the web server’s resources. Both sites were also coded to be fully ADA and WCAG compliant to ensure that they are accessible to students, faculty and the public irrespective of disabilities and age. As part of the upgrade process for both schools, Third Wave Digital migrated all content from the old sites to the new ones, ensuring a smooth and seamless transition.
